Our project is spearheaded by a uniquely qualified and diverse group of professionals who share a passion for improving mental health and well-being in the hair and beauty sector. At the heart of the team are experienced academics—professors of health sciences, psychology and pedagogy—who bring cutting-edge research and evidence-based methodologies to the development of our training modules.

We are complemented by practising psychologists who ensure that our content addresses real-world mental health challenges and promotes resilience. Salon owners and seasoned hair and beauty teachers lend vital industry insight, keeping our materials grounded in the day-to-day experiences of professionals and students alike. Film and audio specialists help us craft engaging, accessible digital learning resources, while university lecturers and doctoral students contribute to curriculum design and robust evaluation methods.

School managers and project specialists provide logistical support and ensure that our programmes align with vocational education and ECVET/EQF standards across Europe. Importantly, young people in education and training are integral to the project, helping shape content that resonates with peers and embraces the diversity of learners, including Ukrainian refugees and other groups with fewer opportunities.

Together, this multidisciplinary team ensures that PsyCare delivers a high-quality, empathetic and forward-looking programme that integrates mental-health awareness, digital responsibility and sustainability into vocational education in the hair and beauty industry—ultimately supporting a mentally healthier, more inclusive Europe.
